The Hammer in the Head – Headaches, Causes, and Help

RelaxBeyond

We've probably all experienced it: strong headaches that significantly impair our well-being, our ability to function, and our energy to the point where they become the central focus of our perception.

Usually, the causes of the headache are clear and quickly defined. They occur in the course of a cold, if we have slept badly, were tense, drank too little, or lacked exercise in fresh air.

When the reason for the headache can be identified so clearly and, above all, in the short term, it is usually relatively simple to find relief or wait for the symptoms to subside.

However, there are also forms of headaches that manifest over a longer period and do not disappear easily. For example, if physical and mental tension persists over an extended period, related problems such as sleep disorders, muscle pain, or headaches do not simply go away. The process is usually gradual. Tension, strain, poor posture, lack of movement, and increasing physical discomfort with more or less pronounced pain symptoms form the classic chain of a negative cycle that always follows the same pattern.

Effective interruption and overcoming without external help is often difficult because reliable body awareness becomes increasingly lost in the course of a stressful everyday life. When we notice the inconsistency through body signals like headaches, it is often too late for simple countermeasures.

There are various therapeutic approaches available that attempt, more or less systematically, to address or at least alleviate the problems. Taking painkillers is a common approach because they are quickly available, effective in the short term, and require little further initiative.

A more long-term and sustainable alternative is to consider and treat the causes, which are particularly often tension and persistently misinterpreted or ignored body signals.

The Vitametik approach to sustainably addressing headaches involves resolving the underlying tension. Nerve-muscular impulses, which send relaxation signals to the brain within seconds from a point set by the Vitametik practitioner at the lateral neck muscles, can lead to the long-term resolution of tension. The brain can break the negative cycle itself, and the entire body can relax permanently.

And with this the hammer in the head – can get hung up on the nail.
